Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles and individual hormones. Regular appointments can extend smooth periods as hair becomes finer. Avoid shaving between sessions to maintain optimal results and schedule follow-ups accordingly.
Trim hair to about a quarter-inch if necessary, exfoliate gently a day before, avoid heavy sun exposure and topical retinoids for 48 hours, and arrive clean. Communicate any medications or skin conditions to your esthetician before the service.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on the first appointment. Our trained technicians use soothing techniques, high-quality wax, and post-care cooling to reduce pain. Take ibuprofen beforehand if needed, and regular waxing typically lessens sensitivity over time.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, strenuous exercise, and tight clothing for 24-48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, fragrance-free moisturizers, and avoid exfoliation for 48 hours. Apply recommended soothing gels if irritation occurs and wear breathable fabrics to prevent friction.
Contraindications include active sunburn, open wounds, severe acne, recent chemical peels, isotretinoin use within six months, certain skin conditions, or infections. Inform us of medications and pregnancy. The esthetician will assess and advise if waxing is safe.
Most clients return every three to six weeks based on personal hair growth. After several sessions, spacing can increase as hair thins. Book consistent appointments to maintain smoothness, or consult our team to create a customized waxing schedule.
